Hence to measure temperature one of the junctions is called known temperature and another one is cold junction. Thermocouple junctions are available in grounded, ungrounded and exposed types and also available in varying temperature range. These industrial thermowells are used for providing isolation between a temperature sensor and the environment to measure the temperature.
Features and usage :
- Available in low pressure and high pressure.
- Used to provide an isolation between a temperature sensor and the environment, either liquid, gas or slurry.
- Allows the temperature sensor to be removed and replaced without compromising either the ambient region or the process.
